SUMMARY: CalSAE is excited to fill a new position to support our events and membership.  The position is designed to assist throughout the organization in working with others to support meetings and events, membership, office and data management, and volunteer support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following strengths:

  • Meeting and event preparation and support, such as processing name badges, organizing materials, speaker contracts, support of event registration, etc.
  • Support CalSAE’s volunteers and processes, such as committee meeting logistics and set up, recruitment and registration, onboarding, email and telephone interaction with members, providing new member materials, orientation of members, etc.
  • Support of membership-based processes such as membership renewals and new member acquisition and on-boarding.
  • General office administrative support throughout the organization as needed such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, corresponding with volunteers, handling mail, etc.
  • Assist with data entry in Association Management System (The AMS is iMIS).

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Three years of professional experience
  • Valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance


  • Communicates orally with members, volunteers, co-workers, and the public in face-to-face, one-to-one settings by telephone, video conference, and in group settings.
  • Sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Work in an office environment, lift and move objects up to 10 pounds such as large binders, books, and small office equipment.
  • Have sufficient finger/hand coordination and dexterity to operate and adjust office equipment such as telephone and computer.
  • Occasional travel within the state to attend statewide and selected regional events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time position, and the hourly rate will be based on education and experience. CalSAE also offers an excellent set of benefits, including full coverage of healthcare, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement contribution starting at 5% of wages (7% after 5 years), two to four weeks of vacation (based on tenure), 8 days of sick leave and 12 paid holidays. 

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt. This position is paid on an hourly basis.

VACCINATION FOR COVID-19: Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required prior to becoming employed by CalSAE
