Job Summary
The RoleThe Region Manager of External Affairs' (MEA) plans and implements the programmatic and operational objectives of Comcast's core digital equity programs including Internet Essentials, IEPP, Lift Zones, RISE, EBB and ECF (and other government stimulus programs). Working closely with the region EA team as well as the West Division Director of External Affairs, the MEA will focus on key performance/program/process improvements focused on productivity, integration, and efficiency.The MEA will also provide support and assistance on critical initiatives to that enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, governmental and regulatory authorities, and employees.

This role must demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills. They should be comfortable multi-tasking. The successful candidate will be able to work with cross-functional team members to identify tasks, build and manage program plans, identify and secure cross-functional resources and develop tools and systems needed to meet strategic commitments for Comcast's digital equity initiatives.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in data analysis and the ownership of issues from concept to completion. A proven record of accomplishment in execution under aggressive schedule demands and competing priorities is necessary as are strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Program administration, cable industry, or communications experience are a plus.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Work with region EA team members as well as the West Division Director of External Affairs in the development, delivery and amplification of key strategic initiatives for Comcast's digital equity initiatives
  • Works directly with the external communications team to develop effective internal and external communications strategies to enhance the organization's brand relations and its community reputation
  • Assist with cross-functional alignment and communication, including leveraging of employee resource groups and marketing events teams to increase engagement for company's community initiatives
  • Acts as a liaison to develop and maintain strong relationships with the community and nonprofit organizations, the public, governmental and regulatory authorities, and employees to ensure goals are met in an efficient and timely manner
  • Develops and evaluates community image strategic programs in area of digital equity, including helping to coordinate special events and support of community impact events, to increase company's brand health and visibility
  • Enhance and augment company's competitive response efforts using current and new partnerships to emphasize company's role as the leader in digital equity and inclusion efforts, including (but not limited to) support of the company's efforts to expand its service area. opportunities
  • Assists with the evaluations of the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day progress of initiatives to ensure smooth forward progress
  • Budgeting, forecasting and reconciliation


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of external affairs, program administration or related experience
  • Highly proficient in Power Point, Excel, Word, SharePoint
  • Strong work ethic
